When Tim first walked through the doors of CB Svendsen back in 1998 as an apprentice, he wasn’t entirely sure. Was electronics and production really the right path for him?

It turned out to be. Not least because there was room to grow with the tasks.

During his apprenticeship, Tim completed the required school periods, but even during the third term, he still had doubts. Along the way, he was met with trust and given small areas of responsibility – opportunities that inspired and motivated him to take the next step. That made all the difference.

After completing his apprenticeship, Tim left for military service, but in 2003, he returned to CB Svendsen. And from there, his areas of responsibility began to expand rapidly. Tim soon took charge of smaller productions and customer projects. When he expressed an interest in learning technical drawing, he was encouraged to dive into AutoCAD and later SolidWorks – working closely with the development department. At the same time, he maintained his role in production, and gradually, both the complexity of his tasks and the level of responsibility grew.

In the beginning, the technical aspects filled most of his work, but over time, it was the interaction with people that truly shaped his direction. He quickly showed an ability to maintain an overview, stay calm under pressure, and build strong relationships across disciplines. These qualities eventually became the foundation for his leadership role.

Tim puts it this way: “Whenever I’ve wanted to explore a new path, I’ve been given the opportunity to try it. The relationship has always been based on trust, responsibility, and strong connections.

That mindset is at the heart of CB Svendsen as a workplace: We see potential in our people. We believe that trust and responsibility are the driving forces behind both personal and professional growth.

Tim’s technical curiosity has always gone hand in hand with a natural sense of leadership. He has an eye for both people and processes – and the ability to make things work together in daily operations. As part of his development, he also completed a leadership course, which strengthened his role as a people manager and equipped him with new tools to motivate and develop his team. That made him the natural choice when we needed someone to bring multiple departments together under one leadership.

Today, Tim is Head of Production at CB Svendsen, responsible for all production activities in Denmark – including Test & Box Build, PCB Assembly, Screen Printing, and the Service Department.

At CB Svendsen, we believe a workplace should be a place where you can grow with your responsibilities, seize new opportunities, and find joy in the variety of tasks a company like ours offers. As we continue to grow, new opportunities constantly arise – for both our business and the people who are part of it.
