At CB Svendsen, we operate in a global reality where responsibility extends beyond our own deliveries, markets, and national borders. That is why, once again this year, we support Danmarks Indsamling, which in 2026 focuses on children affected by forgotten crises. This year’s theme highlights crises that rarely make headlines, yet have severe and long-lasting consequences. Millions of children are growing up amid conflict, climate disasters, and displacement—without stable access to healthcare, education, or basic necessities.

Forgotten crises are a shared responsibility

In countries such as Somalia, Sudan, and Uganda, children grow up in insecure conditions marked by hunger, violence, and climate-related disasters. In Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Iraq, and Yemen, children are born into prolonged crises, while young people in Syria and Lebanon attempt to build a future in societies that have been locked in instability for years. These are complex challenges with no simple solutions, which is precisely why they require sustained attention and responsible action.

Social responsibility as part of how we do business

As a company, we are part of global value chains and dependent on stable societies and sustainable structures. For us, social responsibility is not merely about philanthropy—it is about contributing to long-term resilience and human development. When children gain access to healthcare, education, and protection, the foundation is strengthened for societies that can, over time, create stability, growth, and opportunity. This is essential for both local development and global cooperation.

A shared commitment

Danmarks Indsamling brings together leading humanitarian organisations, companies, foundations, and citizens across Denmark. It is a collective effort built on partnerships and locally anchored initiatives in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions. By supporting the campaign, we contribute to a structured and responsible effort to address social challenges—also in places where the need rarely receives attention. For us, participating in this collective effort is a natural choice, because responsibility also means taking action where the challenges are greatest.
