For the second year in a row, CB Svendsen has been nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year – one of Denmark’s most prestigious awards celebrating companies in growth. This year, we went all the way to the finals, earning a place among the five strongest companies in Region Zealand. It’s an achievement we are both proud and grateful for – and a clear recognition that the transformation we set in motion is beginning to bear fruit.
A new direction – with our roots intact
In recent years, we’ve set a new strategic direction for CB Svendsen. We’ve embarked on an ambitious development journey, rethinking our role in the value chain, strengthening our organization, and upgrading both processes and platforms. It’s a journey that is still unfolding – and far from complete.
We remain deeply rooted in the electronics industry, but our ambitions go far beyond simple delivery. We aim to be a development and production partner that brings insight, speed, and technical excellence to the table – creating value early in our customers’ innovation process. “We want to be the preferred partner you turn to when a project needs to be realized – because we understand technology, time-to-market, supply chain, and complexity,” says Martin B. Svendsen, CCO. This ambition has required us to think differently – and act accordingly. It has been a challenging process that demanded tough decisions, new workflows, and a cultural shift. As Martin expressed from the stage at the final event: “The hardest part has definitely been transforming our organization and systems to think in a new way. It’s a massive task to implement while simultaneously growing the business. There’s been blood, sweat, and tears – and many sleepless nights.”

Growth with purpose
At CB Svendsen, we see growth as much more than financial results. It’s about building a company with strong values, a scalable structure, and a solid foundation for future development.
That’s why we’ve made targeted investments in digitalisation, established a stronger commercial setup, and expanded our quality department with new competencies and structures. We now work more cross-functionally, have sharpened our value proposition, and created stronger alignment between technology and business.
Our culture and team composition also play a vital role. During the final event, Martin was asked how our focus on 50/50 gender balance, well-being, team building, and diversity has impacted our culture and ability to attract and retain talent. His answer was clear: “Having diversity in our team gives us so much. We don’t do mainstream – we’ve chosen our own path, and that brings both sparring and inspiration.” It’s an approach we truly believe in – and one we experience the benefits of every day.
A shared moment
Earlier this year, our nomination was marked by a visit from Danske Bank, where Senior Relationship Manager Hanne Wurr presented the official diploma to Jakob and Martin.
Standing among so many inspiring companies at the final event was a powerful moment – both humbling and motivating. We thank EY for shining a light on the growth creators of Denmark – and for giving us the opportunity to reflect on our own journey. A journey that is far from over. To all our employees, customers, and partners – thank you for helping shape CB Svendsen. Together, we make it possible.
